How to Use Memora as Your Voice-First Second Brain

A practical Memora workflow: capture thoughts by voice or text, organize your notes, review what needs attention, and ask questions about saved memories.

Begin with a thought you want to keep

Memora is a voice-first second brain for iPhone. It brings capture, organization, and retrieval into one workflow: save a thought, give it a useful home, and return to it when you need it. You can start with something small, such as an idea for a project or a question to revisit tomorrow.

For this walkthrough, imagine you are preparing a presentation. You think of a better opening while away from your desk. Instead of trying to hold the idea until you can write a full draft, capture a short note that names the presentation and explains the opening.

Capture by voice or text

Open Capture and speak or type your thought. For example: “For the presentation, start with the problem of losing useful ideas across different apps. Then show how one capture habit helps.” Naming the context makes the note easier to recognize later.

Memora can label captured thoughts as ideas, to-dos, notes, reminders, and other thought types. Review the result, especially when your note includes a date or a name. If the thought involves a next action, make that action clear instead of leaving yourself a vague reminder to “work on the presentation.”

Give the thought a home

File the note with the presentation project so you can return to it alongside related material. Use Areas for ongoing responsibilities and Resources for topics you want to reference again. You can capture first and organize later; the point is to make filing manageable enough that you actually do it.

When you review what needs attention, look for the action hidden inside a longer idea. “The opening could be shorter” can become “Draft a two-sentence opening.” Keep the reasoning too, so future you understands why you wanted to make the change.

Ask your saved memories a question

When it is time to prepare the presentation, use Ask to revisit your saved thoughts. Try a specific question such as “What opening ideas did I save for the presentation?” The answer is meant to help you retrieve information from your own memories.

Read the referenced notes before relying on the answer. AI can summarize imperfectly, and your plans may have changed since you captured a thought. A saved idea is useful context; it does not automatically represent your latest decision.

Build a routine that fits your day

Try a brief review before you finish work: capture any loose thoughts, check recent notes, and identify what deserves attention next. At the beginning of your next work session, open the relevant project and retrieve what you already know. This closes the gap between saving an idea and using it.

Memora offers guest mode to try the app, with account and Pro features available in the app. Voice transcription and connected AI features use server-side processing; review the privacy policy and current plan details before choosing what to capture. You can also use text when a voice note would be inconvenient.
